A native of Philadelphia, PA, Ted Baker is in demand as a session keyboardist in NYC where he now resides.
After studying at Oberlin College, Ted worked with Grover Washington, Dexter Wansel, and Jean Carne moving on to appear on Steely Dan’s grammy winning Two Against Nature and Everything Must Go.
In addition to touring with the Phillip Glass Ensemble and trading piano duties with Warren Bernhardt in Art Garfunkel’s working band, Ted is the proud recipient of the rare Bunson Prize.
With Broadway credits that include touring productions of The Who’s Tommy and Randy Newman’s Faust, Baker continues to be a staple of the NYC scene as the original member of The Lion King orchestra on Broadway as well as numerous live appearances and recordings in the US and abroad.
