Israeli born Dan Pugach is a Brooklyn based drummer and composer. Since his arrival in the United States in 2006, Pugach has been active in the NYC jazz and Brazilian music scenes.
He graduated with a B.M from Berklee College of Music and with an M.A. from the City College of New York. His accolades include two consecutive ASCAP Jazz Composer Awards for his pieces Discourse This! and Brooklyn Blues as well as being selected to participate in the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program in Washington, D.C as a drummer and composer.
Dan’s is a talent deserving wider recognition from his original compositions for nonet to recorded contributions with Terri Lyne Carrington, Nicole Zuraitis, Jorn Swart, Andrei Matorin, Claudio Marquez, Tim Pourbaix, Ace Elijah, David Acker, Ric Molina, and more.
